LEAP4FNSSA - Europe-Africa partnership for food and nutrition security, and sustainable agriculture

LEAP4FNSSA is an EU-financed project for research and innovation on food and nutrition security, and sustainable agriculture.

The project aims to:

  • Establish a long-term sustainable partnership and co-funding mechanism for future FNSSA research and innovation investments.  
  • Increase synergies between actors, projects, initiatives and programmes, through the development of institutional alliances and clusters of projects.
  • Enhance a large knowledge base in the form of a comprehensive project database, including monitoring and evaluation activities.
  • Establish communication and links between different initiatives in order to improve European-African cooperation in science, technology and innovation.

The project has a strong focus on contributing to SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) in connection to SDG17 (Partnerships for the Goals).

SLU’s has a core role in the project being work package leader for “Information Generation and Knowledge Management”.

The project has a 4-years duration, from November 2018 to October 2022.
