An increase in broadleaves in Swedish forests requires a transition in policy and institutions, organizations, businesses and practice. This is due to a favoring of spruce and pine over broadleaves the last decades.
Based on a policy brief recommendations for such a transition is presented with a focus on what needs to be done, how it can be done and who needs to act as part of this transition.
The presentation is held by Louise Eriksson, project leader for Trees For Me's work package with focus on societal transitions and researcher in environmental psychology at Umeå University, and Luis Andrés Guillén Alm, researcher in forest policy and planning at the Southern Swedish Forest Research Centre at SLU.
