Forskning
Vi utför grundforskning på kemisk ekologi, det vill säga undersöker hur kemiska signaler fungerar, hos sjukdomsvektorer i enlighet med det som samhället efterfrågar, och utnyttjar våra kunskaper för att utveckla nya övervaknings och bekämpningsmetoder.
Vi har ett multidisciplinär angreppssätt för att studera doftstyrda beteenden hos sjukdomsvektorer och hur dessa styrs med hjälp av yttre kemiska signaler och insekternas interna fysiologiska status.
Bakgrund
Jag utbildades vid ekologiska institutionen vid Lunds universitet där jag disputerade 2001. Efter 2 år som postdoc vid John Carlsons laboratorium vid Yale University erhöll jag en forskarassistenttjänst från Vetenskapsrådet och började då vid enheten för kemisk ekologi vid institutionen för växtskyddsbiologi. Jag blev docent 2008, och befordrad till professor 2011. Sedan 2012 är jag prefekt vid institutionen för växtskyddsbiologi.
