Instructions to Speakers at the Animal Welfare Science Symposium
Duration of presentation: Talk should be 10 minutes long - that is 10 minutes of talking time. Then there is additional time for discussion in small groups. It is after these group discussions that there will be questions to all the speakers in the session.
Uploading your presentation: Please do this before the start of your session. There is no time allocated between talks. A member of the organising committee will be there to help you.
Welfare implications slide: Although everybody attending is interested in animal welfare, we have an especially multidisciplinary programme this year. This is of course great, but it also means that to some people the welfare implications of your research may not be as obvious as they are to you. The way we would like you to deal with this is to put in a ‘Welfare Implications slide’. What you put on this slide will of course vary, and it will probably vary where it fits most logically in your talk. In most cases the welfare implications are very obvious, but don’t be afraid to say the obvious either - this is after all an Animal Welfare Science Symposium.
As we have said before, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact any of the organising committee directly, or use the symposium email address AWScience@slu.se.
Best wishes
