Farm to fork

In September 2020, SLU Future Food announced funding for SLU researchers to write analyses of the EU Farm to Fork Strategy. The initiative resulted in 9 reports covering a wide range of different aspects. With these reports, SLU Future Food wants to show that SLU is brave enough to address the complex interactions and goal conflicts in the EU strategy and that SLU works systems-oriented to spread gathered insights and knowledge.

Background

The European Commission's Farm to Fork Strategy (F2F) for a fair, healthy and environmentally friendly food system is a visionary approach to creating ecologically, economically and socially sustainable food production and consumption.

The strategy wants to achieve
