Food and Cities

Food & Cities explores the systemic relations of food systems and urban development and how these relationships influence the transformation towards sustainable societies. This is a collaboration between SLU Future Food and SLU Urban Futures. The project communicates SLU’s existing research and aims to create new encounters between different disciplines and sectors. The project seeks to identify knowledge gaps and cross-disciplinary research questions and investigates how a long-term thematic focus on food and cities could be established at SLU.

Sustainable production and consumption of milk

Drinking water and health

We consume an average of two liters of drinking water per day. But how healthy is your drinking water? SLU produces knowledge to support the work with safer drinking water.

The Interdisciplinary Academy

The Interdisciplinary Academy (IDA) is a programme at SLU where the university's researchers are offered the opportunity to collaborate across disciplinary boundaries on complex issues in the broad field of green transformation. IDA also arranges open webinars to inspire and promote more interdisciplinarity across the university.
