About SLU Partnership Alnarp

SLU Partnership Alnarp is a collaboration between SLU Alnarp and the business community, government agencies and trade associations in agriculture, forestry and horticulture fields.

SLU Partnership Alnarp is a collaboration between SLU Alnarp and the business community, government agencies and trade associations in agriculture, forestry and horticulture fields.

We contribute to the development and competitiveness within the green industries while strengthening research and education at SLU. Each year, SLU Partnership Alnarp organizes a variety of meetings, such as seminars, workshops, and excursions. The purpose is to facilitate important knowledge exchanges between academia and the business sector. We discuss needs and opportunities for development, as well as identify pathways for sustainable solutions.

In collaboration with researchers from SLU, our partners can apply for funding for research and development projects through SLU Partnership Alnarp. We also support thesis projects conducted by SLU students in collaboration with our partners.

SLU Partnership Alnarp has contributed in the early stages to several projects that have grown into larger businesses, including Tillväxt Trädgård, the Swedish Centre for Agricultural Business Management - Kompetenscentrum Företagsledningthe Swedish Surplus Energy Collaboration and Crops4Biogas.

SLU Partnership Alnarp was launched in 2004 and now has about 100 members.

Thematic groups

As a partner, you are offered the opportunity to join one or several networks within SLU Partnership Alnarp, known as thematic groups. These thematic groups meet two to three times a year to discuss projects and address the latest developments within their respective fields.

SLU Partnership Alnarp is an organisation for cooperation between the faculty at SLU in Alnarp and the business community, public authorities and industry organisations in southern Sweden. The partnership’s activities include research and development projects, seminars, degree projects and mentoring programmes, with a focus on agriculture, forestry and horticulture.
