Are there added values in older grain types compared with modern varieties?
Cereal grains are a central part of our cultural heritage and have contributed to the development of human civilization. Heritage cereals – old varieties that have not undergone modern refinement – have greater genetic variation than modern cereals and are considered to be more resilient to environmental variation. Are there other advantages? Follow our work as we look into this!
