Future Silviculture Research School
The Research School aims to provide doctoral students with the necessary basic scientific knowledge to be able to analyse, develop and actively contribute to research on the future sustainable use of forests. The research school will be comprised of some 50 doctoral students, including 14 industry and collaboration PhD students.
Unique opportunities for doctoral students
The Research School includes both university-employed and industry-/collaboration based students that are offered to participate in courses and activities. Through teaching by leading researchers in each field, the doctoral students get both a solid scientific foundation and cutting-edge knowledge. The Research School is part of the Wallenberg Initiatives in Forest Research (WIFORCE) and aims to familiarize doctoral students with Swedish forestry and form a strong, professional and international network in both academia and industry. The Research School collaborates with the Faculty of Forest Sciences Research School SILVA.
