Anke Fischer is a professor of environmental communication since 1 February 2019. Her inauguration lecture has the title "The struggle over sustainability: Communication and the co-construction of meaning in environmental governance".
Anke Fischer´s research area is environmental communication. She examines how different groups in society deal with issues related to sustainability, climate change, nature and biodiversity, especially with regard to value judgements and public support for related policies. In her research, she combines perspectives from psychology, sociology and governance studies.
