The West Swedish Group

The group meets regularly to analyse strategically important issues for the development of agriculture. It helps to gather and streamline the development work, and if necessary, the group can also initiate joint projects or other types of initiatives.

The work is closely linked to the research and development areas that SLU and Region Västra Götaland have collaborated on since 2014.

The vision

The group focuses on increasing the attractiveness of education, training and work in agriculture in western Sweden, as well as increasing the pace of innovation, business development and the translation of new knowledge into practice. The vision emphasizes the importance of knowledge, entrepreneurship and collaboration:

"The agricultural industry in Västra Götaland is a pioneer for environmentally, economically and socially sustainable development. The industry uses new knowledge, uses its entrepreneurship for continuous improvement and takes on common challenges through collaboration."
