Goats in rural area in Africa

SLU will lead a new task force focused on ‘Catalyzing academic-humanitarian partnerships for emergency food security response’ together with the global Food Security Cluster (FSC) and representatives from international humanitarian agencies.

The main outputs of this task force will be production of a scoping report on this topic alongside associated seminar events.

The scoping report will aim to elaborate synergies between the academic and humanitarian sectors, including how these can better understand each other’s needs, and align and gain from each other’s work. These topics will be analysed within context of the four pillars of the FSC’s strategy – i.e. Anticipatory action, Localization, the Humanitarian-Development-Pease nexus, and Advocacy.
