A project suitable for both BSc and MSc students. The size of the project is adapted to the student's level and time available. This project aims to measure the time and effort needed to train growing pigs to reliably enter e.g. a scale. A signal for moving forward is first trained in the home environment and then the pigs are tested in an unfamiliar environment. The underlying aim is to measure how demanding it is to train pigs to move forward on a command, e.g. to enter a transport vehicle. The student should be experienced in animal training and used to, or have a profound interest in, pigs.
