Facts:

SLU Aqua focus on increasing our knowledge about ecosystems and natural resources in both marine and freshwater environments.

We monitor and analyze oceans, coastal waters, lakes and watercourses, conduct research on aquatic ecosystems, fish and shellfish, and support society with expert competence and biological advice.

Our department was formed in 2011, when SLU took over the operations from the then Swedish Board of Fisheries' division for research and development.
