SLU Aqua's research vessel Asterix is suitable for water sampling, trawling and hydroacoustic surveys. You are welcome to hire Asterix , including the skipper. The vessel can be transported by trailer. Equipment on board includes trawls, winches, research sonar and radar. The vessel is suitable for sampling in both coastal areas and out at sea.
The research vessel Asterix belongs to the Department of Aquatic Resources at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU). The vessel is mainly used for surveys in Sweden's large lakes (Lake Vänern, Lake Vättern, Lake Mälaren and Lake Hjälmaren), but Asterix also works well for surveys in coastal areas.
The vessel, including the skipper, can be chartered for suitable operations. Asterix is equipped for hydroacoustic, trawl and net fishing surveys. She is also well suited for sampling water, plankton and benthic fauna.
The boat can be transported by trailer.
