Aquaponic – future cultivation system for production of environmentally friendly and healthy food
Last changed: 25 October 2023
Residual heat from industrial processes is an interesting resource for greenhouse production systems. Above that, residual heat might contribute to resource efficient aquaponic system with environmentally friendly energy recovery and the production of environmentally friendly and safe food.
The aim of the project is to set the scene for aquaponic system using residual heat from industrial processes. The effect of water temperatures in aquaponic system on growth of fish as well as on the growth of different greenhouse crops and on food quality is studied.
The project was funded by Stina Werner Stiftelse.
