Effect of water temperature on the dispersal of root pathogens in aquaponic systems
Last changed: 25 October 2023
There is substantial interest for application of aquaponic systems in environments where residual heat from industrial processes are available. A prerequisite for this application is deeper knowledge of the effect of water temperature on the dispersal of plant root pathogens in the system.
The project concerns the investigation of the effect of different water temperatures in aquaponics systems on the occurrence and spread of fungi-like root pathogens (model organism: Pythium spp.)
The project was funded by the Tillväxt Trädgård.
