Mycorrhiza in horticulture – a handbook (Swe)

Last changed: 23 October 2024

The aim of the project is to compile current research and experiences regarding mycorrhizal symbiosis in the cultivation of fruit, berries and vegetables. The project is a collaboration with Växa Sweden. Projektet är ett samarbete med Växa Sverige.

What is mycorrhiza?

Mycorrhiza is a symbiosis between soil-dwelling fungi and plant roots. Findings of fossil fungal spores indicate that mycorrhizal fungi were important to plants as early as 460 million years ago and enabled the plants to colonize land. Most plant species still live in symbiosis with mycorrhizal fungi.
