At the Department of Applied Animal Science and Welfare we educate students in animal science, biology and related subjects at basic level, advanced level and doctoral level. Several of the department's undergraduate courses are included in the bachelor's programs: Ethology and animal welfare and Animals and sustainability. We also participate in the education for animal nurses and veterinarians. At advanced level, we have courses within the master's program: Animal Science.
Most of our courses are part of bachelor's and master's programmes but many courses are also given as independant courses and are thereby open for students outside SLU.
