Environmental psychology: an interdisciplinary field that focuses on the transactions and interrelationships between individuals and groups with their surroundings.
Transdisciplinary and interdisciplinary: an interdisciplinary field is about research efforts to work with the synthesis between different disciplines, into a coordinated whole, ie: environmental psychology. Transdisciplinary integrates an interdisciplinary discipline with societal agents in a critical humanities context, transcending all traditional boundaries.
Evidence based design: the process of basing design decisions about the built environment on credible research to achieve the best possible outcomes for the needs of the user of the environment.
