Rapeseed as a motor fuel from field to engine

The objective of this project was to produce a handbook in which all stages from cultivation of rapeseed to the use of the finished fuel are described in a way that is easy to understand.
The whole chain from field to engine including cultivation, oil extraction, oil cleaning, oil transesterification, handling of the rape cake/rape meal/rape expeller and also handling of the glycerine from the transesterification are described. Some examples of plant design are given. The report concludes with some cost estimate examples.
