Agricultural machinery
Last changed: 05 November 2021
Modern agricultural machines (such as tractors and combine harvesters) can be very productive, but are also expensive, use a lot of fuel and produce substantial pollution. Hence, it is of importance that they are used as efficiently as possible.
Our research is focused on three areas:
- Within emissions from tractors and construction equipment we study the machines and how they can be as energy efficient as possible
- Within crop production technology we study the use of machinery during crop production can be as efficient as possible
- Within machinery planning and optimisation we study how the entire machinery fleet can be used as efficiently as possible.
