Since 1987, this conference series has provided a forum to explore place-based ecosystem science grounded on observations from the bio-, hydro-, geo- and atmo- spheres. (That explains the “MON” in BIOGEOMON). BIOGEOMON 2026 will explore the theme “Ecosystems in Transition” through a broad mix of session topics. A day of field excursions to research infrastructures in the area, including the Krycklan Catchment Study, part of SITES Svartberget Research Station, will highlight the value of research infrastructures for answering today’s questions for a more sustainable tomorrow.
