Forest Planning

Forest planning deals with decision making concerning the future development of the forest. When, where and how will silviculture and harvesting be applied on a forest holding or in a landscape in order to achieve the objectives of the forest management? The forest planning research group focuses on planning processes for different types of forest owners and aims to develop competence and methods that can be applied in practice to promote sustainable forest management.
