• Plant sugar signaling and carbon allocation
• Channeling carbon flux to different destinations in plants for food, non-food and environmental applications
• Methodology in plant biology, e.g. antisense ODN inhibition technology, agro-infiltration in monocots, decoy oligo trapping of transcription factors, and rice and barley transformation
