Education at Department of Urban and Rural Development

The department offers undergraduate courses, at basic and advanced level, in the subjects Environmental science, Landscape architecture and Rural development. We are responsible for the courses in seven education programmes. We also offer doctoral education in Agrarian history, Environmental communication, Landscape architecture and Rural development. Postgraduate Education at Department of Urban and Rural Development

Postgraduate education is given in the subect areas: Agrarian history, Environmental communication, Landscape architecture and Rural development.

The postgraduate education consist partly of courses, which can be taken within the framework of the research school People, Society and Sustainability (a collaboration with the Department of Economics), but also at other departments at SLU or other universities. Research students also run their own research project, their dissertation work, under the supervision of some of the department's researchers.
