Selection

Last changed: 14 November 2024

Selection to the TRANSFOR-M programme occurs in two steps. Read about the process below.

Selection process

The first step is carried out by an internal committee at the Faculty of Forest Sciences at SLU and the decision of nominees for the program is taken by the vice dean for Education. The committee makes a ranking of candidates and students are nominated to the second step of the selection according to their position in the ranking.

The second step of the selection is carried out by the TRANSFOR-M Consortium in January/February.

Selection criteria

The selection of candidates will be made by a committee at the Faculty of Forest Sciences and the final decision of nominees from SLU will be taken by the vice dean for Education.

The selection criteria includes (but are not limited to):

  • grades on the bachelor studies,
  • grade on the first course of the master program (fourth year of Jägmästarprogrammet),
  • motivation (cover) letter & cv and
  • references.

If the selection committee wants clarifications about something, the applicant may be contacted with follow-up questions during the selection process.

Results of the selection process will be communicated to all applicants after the second step of the evaluation, around mid-February.

See the table with required grades and English skills for the respective host universities.
