Kursen ges under valfri tid på året och omfattar totalt 10 veckor. Under åtta av dessa veckor deltar du i arbetet på en arbetsplats. Ca 20 % av tiden ägnas åt att analysera, sammanställa och och redovisa erfarenheterna från praktikperioden. Du ska själv tillfråga och föreslå praktikplats. Innan praktiken påbörjas ska praktikplatsen godkännas av kursledningen och ett avtal med praktikplatsen vara undertecknat.

The aim of the course is to give the student an insight in advanced tasks connected to a potential future proffession.
After having completed the course the student shall be able to
account for what skills the profession requires
carry out certain practical tasks connected to the profession
account for working conditions and different professions at the place of work
account for the role in society played by the organisation/company
the student should be able to reflect on the content of his education and relevance to the work placement
Content
For approximately 80% of the time, the student will participate in the daily tasks at the place of work. The student will have access to academic supervision as well as a supervisor at the organisation/company. After the period of practical training, the student shall analyze and summarize experiences and present them in written form, and orally.
The written report shall include a presentation of the internship, an overview of the tasks and reflections on what is the course objective.

Grading form

Approved written and oral presentation of experiences from practical exercises, and participation in compulsory activities.
If a student has failed an examination, the examiner has the right to issue supplementary assignments. This applies if it is possible and there are grounds to do so.
The examiner can provide an adapted assessment to students entitled to study support for students with disabilities following a decision by the university. Examiners may also issue an adapted examination or provide an alternative way for the students to take the exam.
If this syllabus is withdrawn, SLU may introduce transitional provisions for examining students admitted based on this syllabus and who have not yet passed the course.
For the assessment of an independent project (degree project), the examiner may also allow a student to add supplemental information after the deadline for submission. Read more in the Education Planning and Administration Handbook.
Other information
The right to participate in teaching and/or supervision only applies for the course instance the student was admitted to and registered on.
If there are special reasons, students are entitled to participate in components with compulsory attendance when the course is given again. Read more in the Education Planning and Administration Handbook.
Additional information
The student contacts and suggests place for pactical training. Before training beginsthe place of practice has to be approved by the examiner, and an agreement signed by the organisation/company and the responsible department at SLU.
