The aim of the course is to provide an understanding of the practical handling of farm animals. During about 80 percent of the time, students participate in the daily routines in animal husbandry. To support during this period, the students are assigned a supervisor who instructs in the handling of the various elements. Students are also assigned an academic supervisor as a resource for questions and discussion. After the period of training practical skills, the students summarize their experiences and present these both in writing and orally.
