How to conduct a systematic review?

Evidence summaries come in many forms, which can be more or less trustworthy and relevant depending on methodology, accuracy and objectivity. Systematic reviews utilise specific methodologies that aim to comprehensively identify all relevant studies on a specific topic, and to select appropriate studies based on explicit criteria. In addition, all steps in the work with a systematic review must be well documented, in order to increase transparency and reproducibility. The methodology was developed within medicine research, but is being used increasingly, with small adaptations, in all areas of research.

In this webinar we will talk about the basic concepts for systematic mapping or reviewing of available information. We will also discuss methods for designing structured and exhaustive information searches, databases and other sources, and different types of syntheses and analyses. Time will not allow a profound analysis of the methods, but we hope to give an informative overview and share some links for further studies.
