More about Mwenya Mubanga and her talk

is a postdoctoral researcher at Karolinska Institutet. In her earlier work at Uppsala University Mwenya used national registries of more than 3.4 million Swedes aged 40 to 80 to study the association between dog ownership and cardiovascular health. Her studies amongst other things showed that dog owners has a lower risk of death due to cardiovascular disease or to other causes during a 12-year follow-up.

Mwenyas current research focus is on the epidemiology of early-life exposures and childhood atopic diseases using different quantitative methods on data extracted from the Swedish health and population registers and the Swedish Twin Registry.
