Welcome to the One Health Breakfast Club September 5 between 8.00 and 9.00. You get a short inspirational talk, some breakfast, and a chance to meet and have transdisciplinary discussions with SLU colleagues. Last sign up date 29 August. See you there!
Each Breakfast Club starts with a short inspirational talk and then it's up to you to mingle and take the opportunity to enjoy interesting transdisciplinary discussions and initiate new collaborations. Regardless of whether you see yourself as a One Health researcher or not, we promise that you'll find something of relevance for you. Almost all of SLU's research interests are linked to One Health!
Mike Jones is an applied ecologist with field experiences in Southern and Eastern Africa and the western USA, working in protected area management and community-based conservation. Following a growing interest in the application of systems science to the social complexity of community-based conservation, Mike went to the Stockholm Resilience Centre to learn about the science of social-ecological systems and develop a network of “resilience thinkers”. Mike has a part-time position at the SLU Centre for Biological Diversity (CBM). He teaches "Systems Thinking" for sustainable development in a number of courses at SLU and Uppsala University and does transdisciplinary research for policy processes with international networks of scientists and practitioners.
Most welcome,
