Monitoring the Sustainable Development Goals and the 2024 SDG Report: An Overview
GCUA 2030 welcomes you to this webinar with Daniel Eshetie from the United Nations Statistics Division to discuss UNSD's work to coordinate the Global SDG Indicator Framework and monitor progress towards Agenda 2030.
Daniel Eshetie is a statistician with UNSD working with National Statistical Offices and international partners on methodology and capacity development projects on SDG indicators. Daniel's talk will focus on his and UNSD's work to coordinate the Global SDG Indicator Framework and monitor progress towards Agenda 2030.
A summary overview of the recently published Sustainable Development Goals Report 2024 will also be presented. This annual report is prepared by UN DESA, in collaboration with the entire UN Statistical System, consisting of more than 50 international and regional agencies, based on data from over 200 countries and territories. It aims to serve as a foundational resource with the latest data and evidence for developing recommendations and solutions to advance progress towards Agenda 2030 and the SDGs.
