The conference is exclusively for doctoral students that work in the departments that belong to the faculty of Forest Sciences. Please register to the conference by sending an email to silva@slu.se. Last date for registration is September 12 2025. The first day will be a traditional conference while the second day we will have an excursion around Umeå. If you have any suggestion on the excursion theme please let SILVA know!
Abstract submission: Doctoral students employed in the departments that belong to the faculty of Forest Sciences are encouraged to submit abstracts that contain an overview of their research. The abstracts should be in English, and contain a 500 word (excluding title, author name and author affiliation) description on their research. The abstract should contain the following sections; background, methods, main results and conclusion. The above headings can be adjusted depending on how far you have reached in your studies. Abstracts on all recent advancements of research in Forest Sciences are welcomed. The abstract contributions will be included in an abstract digital book that will be uploaded to SILVA homepage after the conclusion of the conference.

Oral presentations: Doctoral students that wish to hold an oral presentation should mention that when submitting the abstract. The template for the oral presentation is found here.
Travel cost support: If you need financial support for travel and accomodation in Umeå for attending the conference please send an email to silva@slu.se expressing your interest for financial support.
