IMS Research seminar: Jonatan Nästesjö

Jonatan Nästesjö, Ph.D. in Educational Science and Postdoctoral Researcher in Science and Innovation Studies at Halmstad University, will present insights from his recent doctoral thesis on young researchers' careers and from ongoing projects on researchers' climate activism.

The seminar draws on how the interplay between (de)valuation and academic socialisation shapes young researchers' practices and identities in different ways. Given how academic careers are (e)valueted, what roles are possible to attain for researchers? And how does this affect researchers' opportunities to contribute to societal development and solutions to societal problems?
