For the fourth time, SLU Future One Health invite senior as well as junior SLU researchers to join us for two days of discussions on interdisciplinary research and One Health, at Philipssonska gården in Strängnäs. Welcome to apply - the deadline for applications is 16 May 2025!
We will be focusing on interdisciplinary research on different aspects of One Health.
SLU Future One Health look forward to see you at Philipssonska gården in August.
Some reflections from the participants at our previous researcher residency at Philipssonska gården.
Purpose and fields of interest
The purpose of this "Researcher residency event" is to strengthen the interdisciplinary research at SLU and to identify new links and research collaborations between our fields. The discussions will be focused on different aspects of One Health.
During the Researcher Residency, we will discuss the One Health concept and how to use it in SLU research, interdisciplinary research opportunities in One Health for SLU researchers and how SLU Future One Health can support this. You will also brainstorm about research and potential One Health projects.
The global definition of One Health as “an integrated, unifying approach that aims to sustainably balance and optimize the health of people, animals and ecosystems…” can feel somewhat heavy and vague and we would like a dialogue on how refine and tailor this concept for SLU in a way that makes it practical for our researchers.
We welcome you to inspirational talks and open scientific discussions. You will be served good food and stay in a beautiful environment.
