Andreas Lundgren
I am a PhD student focusing on the effects of disrupted forest continuity and climatic variations on growth in boreal forests.

Presentation

The boreal forest is a large forest biome with regular disturbance dynamics. Some of these disturbances, such as intensive forestry in Fennoscandia, can leave a forest void of trees and force a secondary regeneration.
In my research I study what happens to tree growth and its climatic sensitivity as well as forest carbon and nutrient storage as a boreal forest undergoes disrupted forest continuity.

Background

I have a MSc in ecology and conservation from Uppsala University, where I did my thesis work on the effects of wild boars' rooting on soil carbon and nutrient dynamics and tree growth.
