Bodil Ström Holst
Presentation
I am senior lecturer in health and disease of companion animals, especially dogs and cats, with a special responsibility for extension. I share my time between extension, research, teaching and clinical work.
Teaching
Teaching veterinary students is an important part of my work, and I teach within the course in veterinary clinical pathology and within the course in Reproduction. In addition, I supervise veterinary students working with their master theses.
Research
My research focus is reproductive endocrinology, especially in dogs. I have a specific interest in anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH), challenges in immunological diagnostics, and feline diabetes mellitus.
Specific projects in which I also supervises PhD students:
- Circulating biomarkers of cardiac disease in cats.
- Feline diabetes mellitus

Cooperation
I chair the small animal committee of the Faculty of veterinary medicine and animal science. I am also head of Carenet, a network for researchers and clinicians interested in research, aiming at strengthening clinical research within veterinary medicine.
I am a member of the national group for collaboration for better dog health.
