Presentation
My doctoral project is about how different diets affect the animal physiologically. More specifically, I will analyze data from a project that investigated how a high-starch diet and a roughage diet affect trotting horses that were trained for competition. Through metabolomics and proteomics analyzes from blood plasma and muscle biopsies, detailed information is obtained about changes in metabolites and proteins from the diets. This will provide knowledge about effects from the diets in addition to energy and nutrient absorption.
Main supervisor is Anna Jansson. Assistant supervisors are Jan Erik Lindberg and Erika Roman.
In addition to my doctoral project, I have been involved in projects about crickets where we investigated the possibility of using crickets as human food. In that project, the effect of different diets on both growth factors and behavior was investigated. Project manager was Anna Jansson.
Teaching
I teach digestion physiology of monogastric animals for several different student groups at SLU.
