Magnus Simonsson

My research includes weathering of potassium and other base cations in agricultural and forest soil, since 2012 within the Formas 'strong research environment' QWARTS—Quantifying Weathering for Sustainable Forest Management.

I also run a project on the solubility and uptake of phosphorus from agricultural soil after liming, and I am involved in a couple of other projects on the binding and potential leaching of phosphorus in agricultural soils.

My teaching mainly involves soil mineralogy, weathering and soil chemistry in basic soil science courses at different educational programmes.
