Presentation
I am an Agricultural Engineer with a focus on plant pathology and plant-pathogen interactions. I'm studying alternative methods of resistance to Phytophthora infestans in potato by investigating the effects of Plant Resistance Inducers (PRIs) as low-risk alternatives to synthetic pesticides. I have also an interest in the mitigation of climate change and in studying how plant resistance and pathogen aggressiveness will be altered under future climate scenarios.
Research
I am currently involved in the following projects:
MSCA-ITN Protecta “Pathogen Informed Resistance to Oomycete Diseases in Ecosystems, Agriculture and Aquaculture”, 2019-2021
EPPN2020 PRIFACE "Influence of elevated CO2 on potato plants, late blight resistance, and effectiveness of plant resistance inducers", 2021
