Örjan Östman
Research
I'm currently involved in the following more specific research projects:
1. Climate and fishery induced changes in genetics, life-history and population structure of Baltic Sea fish species. Are fish populations spatially structured, and what drives the structuring? Importance of environmnetal changes versus fisheries on population and life history development? Spatial structure of ecological indicators of coastal fish communities and how they respond to environmental variation?

2. Drivers and consequences of intraspecific variation in aquatic metacommunities. What are the causes of intraspecific variation within species? Consequences for abundance and distributions of species?
