Presentation

I am an applied economics researcher focusing on agri-environmental sustainability and sustainable resource use in agricultural production.

Specifically, my research includes (1) productivity and ecological efficiency analysis with an emphasis on sustainable resource use, employing Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SFA); (2) consumer demand system analysis focusing on the transition to sustainable consumption in Sweden; (3) cost-benefit analysis at the farm level using a stochastic partial budgeting approach; and (4) analysis of farmers' attitudes and perceptions toward adopting eco-friendly production methods, using Discrete Choice Experiment (DCE) models.

Teaching

I am the course leader for "Analysis of productivity and efficiency of food system firms" (NA0198) and thesis courses in Economics for B.Sc. and M.Sc. (EX0903, EX0905, EX0907). I am teaching parts of "Production Economics" (FÖ0476). I was course leader for "Microeconomics and its applications in agricultural and environmental economicsand" (NA0183) in VT2020.

Research

Ongoing externally funded projects:

I am the main applicant (PI) for Formas funded project (2023-2026)"Towards fossil-independent dairy farming in Sweden: Technical strategy, climate and economic effects, drivers and barriers".

I'm a co-applicant and consortium member of Horizon Europe (HORIZON) project "Analysing of fossil-energy dependence in agriculture to increase resilience against input price fluctuations (AgEnRes) (2024-2027)".

I'm work package leader for Mistra Food Future Phase II on "Food supply chain organization structure for sustainability and resilience".

I'm co-applicant for Formas funded projects "Plant Protein Nanofibrils: The Eco-Friendly Food Stabilizer of the Future (2024-2027)" (led by Dr. Jing Lu), "Economic policy instruments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the Swedish food sector (EPIC) (2021-2024)" (led by Dr. Sarah Säll), "How do we achieve fossil-free agriculture in Sweden (2022-2025)" (led by Prof. Dr. Per-Anders Hansson), "Stop the spread of Mycoplasma bovis and protect free herds (2021-2024)" (led by Dr. Stefan Widgren), and "A strong pulse - resilient Swedish grain legume supply from field and factory to fork (2023-2025)" (led by Prof. Dr. Maud Langton).
