Anita Pettersson, who is researching resource recovery at Borås University College, won the final of the Researcher Grand Prix in Stockholm yesterday evening. Participants had four minutes to present their research in as entertaining and easily-understood a way as possible to an audience and jury. SLU researcher Marlene Andersson took second place with her contribution on how spiders spin their webs.
‘Today’s competition was a very close-run thing and many exciting research projects were presented. I was really pleased to be able to take part and present my unbelievable research at Nalen!’ says SLU researcher Marlene Andersson, who secured second place with her presentation ‘How do spiders spin their fantastic webs?’.
The finalists qualified through regional competitions in connection with the science event ForskarFredag. This year’s national final was the fifth and was organised by VA (Public & Science) and the research councils Formas, Forte, SRC and Vinnova.
