Facts:
Eveline Krab’s main interests are to understand how environmental changes such as climate change and shifts in vegetation composition may induce changes in ecosystem processes. Most of her research up to date has focused on soil fauna and their activities in arctic ecosystems under future climate scenarios. She is especially interested in how climatic changes alter interactions between soil organisms, their relation to plants and the consequences for carbon and nitrogen cycling.
To answer her research questions she uses different approaches at different scales, such as laboratory incubations, field climate manipulation experiments and larger-scale field sampling campaigns. Eveline is currently an associate senior lecturer at the Department of Soil and Environment at SLU.
