Ivar Vågsholm present as Marit Paulsen is presented with prestigious award

Marit Paulsen, Honorary Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, has been appointed Commander of the French order l’Ordre national du mérite. Ivar Vågsholm, Head of Department at the Department of Biomedical Sciences and Veterinary Public Health, attended the ceremony.
The ceremony took place at the French embassy in Stockholm on Thursday 24 August. With this award, France wished to 'honour Marit Paulsen's work and the deciding role she played when Sweden joined the EU'. BVF's head of department, Ivar Vågsholm, attended the ceremony and was asked by Marit Paulsen to convery her regards and thanks to all the researchers and experts at SLU who have contributed during the years.
- Marit Paulsen describes her contacts with SLU as an important reason why Sweden and she herself have been successful in promoting food safety and animal protection and welfare in the EU and the European Parliament, says Ivar Vågsholm, who also highlights this as an excellent example of collaboration.
