The AgriFoSe2030 team consisted of Sofia Boqvist - Programme Director, Ivar Virgin and Ng’endo Machua from the Communications and Engagement team, Susanne Pettersson – Administration and Mikael Rosenius – Economist.

At Nong Lam University the AgriFoSe2030 programme supports the Black Soldier Fly (BSF) project led by Dr. Dýõng Nguyên Khan. The project focuses on suppling BSF larvae as a sustainable source of protein to livestock and aquaculture farmers to improve food security, raise rural farmers’ income and improve farming practices in Vietnam.

The rice straw management project led by Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Thuy, aims to support smallholder rice farmers and extension workers to decide on the best alternative for rice straw management by utilising technological options as well as value chain business models.

The AgriFoSe2030 team met with the two project teams to go over their Theory of Change, project progress, learnings so far and how to further strengthen the institutional collaborations. They also got a chance to visit the project sites to get a better understanding of the work.
