Warm welcome Ng'endo!

Published: 07 March 2022

The communications and engagement team in AgriFoSe2030 is happy to welcome a new co-worker. Ng'endo Machua-Muniu will be a great addition to the existing team to help spread the word of AgriFoSe2030. She comes closest from AGRA, based in Kenya, where she worked as a communication specialist for several years.

A warm welcome Ng'endo! The whole AgriFoSe2030 team is happy to have you on-board and we are all looking forward to work with you.

Can you please tell us a little about yourself.

Thank you! I am a seasoned, result-driven communications professional with over 10 years of progressive experience currently working as a Communications Officer at SEI Headquarter – Project Communications Unit supporting the AgriFoSe2030 programme.

Prior to joining SEI, I worked at AGRA (Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa) as a Communications Specialist where I led and implemented digital strategies and campaigns as well as country-level communications strategies across 11 countries in Africa to strengthen AGRA’s regional and global reputation centered around agriculture and food systems.

What are you most looking forward to working with AgriFoSe2030?

I'm looking forward to produce relevant communications collateral that will showcase results, challenges and opportunities of the programme and hopefully motivate other stakeholders and partners to adopt the same model of supporting the capacity development of scientists to engage with policy-making processes.

What are your strengths?

I would say that my strengths are content curation, audio-visual production, media engagement and stakeholder relations.

How do you think you can contribute with your knowledge?

With my knowledge of working in sub-Saharan Africa, I will ensure framing of AgriFoSe's messaging is relevant and relatable.

Once again, a warm welcome!
