SLU has been ranked fifth-best university in the world for agriculture in this year’s Shanghai Academic Ranking of World Universities. SLU also tops the league tables in in several other subjects, with ecology and veterinary medicine standing out.
SLU has placed among the 301–400 best universities in the world in the Shanghai Ranking Consultancy’s latest league tables.
The Shanghai Ranking Consultancy also publishes league table data for 55 subjects at universities worldwide – the Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS). The 2024 GRAS ranks universities in 55 subjects from the natural sciences, engineering, life sciences, medical sciences, and social sciences. Over 1 900 universities from 96 countries and regions are included.
This year sees SLU ranking 5th in the world for agricultural sciences, 26th for ecology and 35th for the veterinary sciences. SLU is the number one university in Sweden for these subjects. In addition, SLU is among the top 100 universities worldwide, and takes second place in Sweden for environmental science and engineering.
