Productive forest land

SLU's official statistics on the state and changes of forests produced by the Swedish National Forest Inventory have long been accessible as open data in machine-readable formats in PxWeb. Now, we’ve taken the next step to make this valuable data even more discoverable and easy to use by publishing it on Sweden’s data portal and thereby also on the EU data portal. This initiative makes it easier for both national and international users to find and utilize our high-quality data. By hosting the data on these shared platforms, we enhance accessibility to forest-related information in broader contexts – from local research and analysis to European perspectives.

What does this mean for you?

  • Improved discoverability: Our statistics are now easier to locate via central platforms.
  • Consistent high quality: You continue to have access to the official statistics that underpin decisions on forests and the environment.
  • International reach: Through the EU data portal, our data becomes even more accessible to a global audience.
